Real Good music. Great bass and beats. Great Cd, Couple of Good Songs, Planet Rock, Play at your Own Risk, Electric Kingdom. some of my favorites.
We weren't into volumes 3 & 4. This was in the 90s. At one time bought 3 and thought it sucked.BUT, I'm 29 years old now, and I feel as though my love for music as matured, so I just might pick up the rest of the compilation. This stuff is great. Me and my boyz used to break-dance to Electric Funk volumes 1 & 2.
I only like 2 of the songs- but to be honest only one was good.
I order this and it arrived in 2 days.AWESOME. WOW. How fast was that.
They are all something that you don't hear in today's rap/hip-hop unless they use the beat. This cd includes the mega hit "Planet Rock" by Afrika Bambaataa & the Soulsonic Force. I grew up on this stuff even though I'm only 16. Missy Elliott got her "Lose Control" beat from the song "Clear" off this cd. Every song here is great and major part of rap/hip-hop history and culture but here are my top 5:1.Planet Rock2.Skanless Electric Funk Mega-Mix3.Electric Kingdom4.Clear5.Jam on Revenge (The Wikki-Wikki Song) All the songs blended hip-hip with techno. All the beats seem unique and exotic.
